Artemisia tridentata tridentata; Basin Big is the largest of the big sagebrush, growing up to 15ft tall under the right conditions but normally around 4-6 ft tall. Plants usually have a large singular trunk, uneven-topped branches and loosely branching flowering stems throughout the crown. Usually at lower elevations than other Big sagebrush, it does overlap often with Wyoming Big in range and elevation, but is much larger, with Wyoming averaging around 3 ft. Perfect for increasing plant and wildlife biodiversity, revegetation, native yards, erosion control, drought tolerance and more. This large shrub can provide a nice backdrop for flowers and ornamental grasses, a screen along a roadside fence, or dominate a section of yard to provide a wildlife sanctuary. Very aromatic as you would expect from an Artemisia. Growing up to 15ft tall. Hardy 4-9.

Basin Big is often at lowest elevation of the Big Sage's occurring from 1,000 to 7,000 ft on dry locales, with deep sandy to loamy soils that receive at least 8 inches of annual precipitation. Abundant in valley bottoms up to mountain foothills, Basin Big is extremely important to native wildlife of all kinds, including pygmy rabbits, sage grouse, sharp-tail grouse, and roughly 100 other bird species depend on this large shrub. There are also plants that rely on this large shrub for cover from animals and elements.
Pots are organic and biodegradable! Keep the plant in the pot and plant the whole thing. This will prevent root disturbance while transplanting that sagebrush are sensitive to.
