About

We are the Gaskills: Trenton, Mac, Sal and Patching. We live and operate  Beehive Nursery from our little quarter acre in Kamas, UT.

Trenton was born and raised in Murray, UT and has spent thousands of hours in the natural landscapes of our state. He is sustainability and conservation-minded and is the mastermind behind selecting and growing our plants. Fall is his favorite season, for both hunting and seed harvesting.

Mac moved to Utah in her teens and has spent almost a decade with Trenton learning about and exploring Utah's unique environments.

Sal and Patching are our little mountain boys, and we have four dogs, plus Silkie chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, turkeys, and a California qual and goats.

Everyday we personally see construction crews ravaging the sage steppe to clear the way for new neighborhoods. Pressure from developers is extremely intense in the West, and we see them often succeed in filling up open space and making critical wildlife habitat disappear. And then the landscaping work we see usually includes poorly suited plants for the area that eliminate biodiversity and typically don't survive. As well as plants that need too much water, are invasive, or hurt native pollinators. Landscape fabric is almost always installed which breaks down as reduces the quality of our most precious resource, water.

Our passion and goal is to provide as many native and climate conscious plant options as possible, grown and harvested by us for our neighbors and beyond. While benefitting wildlife, reducing water use with still outstanding and vibrant displays, and preserving and restoring Utah's natural beauty.
