Sphaeralcea munroana (Munro's Globemallow) 50 Seeds
Munro Globemallow, Sphaeralcea munroana is a lovely addition to the garden. A very versatile and hardy plant, it's great for a burst of color late in the Summer into Autumn when the heat is still oppressive. Drought tolerant, thrives in full sun to part shade.
No real preference on soil type. Dry, sandy, rocky soil is no problem, and it even likes clay. Considered xeric but may appreciate some evening water in the hottest locales.
Hardy zones 4-9. Grows about 3 ft tall and 2 ft wide.
Tall and rigid 'wands' are covered in flowers that are a gentle, lighter colored orange than other globemallows and can be cut into a bouquet.
An excellent native wildflower choice for pollinator gardens, crevice gardens and xeric landscapes.
Easy to grow. Indoors or out with no stratification time. Plant Spring or Autumn.
